Small business marketing

As 2025 bears down on us it is only natural to reflect on where we feel like this year has taken us and what the future holds. I come back often to one of my favorite song lyrics:

“To answer the question, it’ll probably take more

If you’re already there well you probably don’t know

We were the people that we wanted to know

And we’re the places that we wanted to go”

To me, the idea behind this garbled expression, shout out to classic Isaac Brock poetic phrasing, is that WE are the thing we are searching for. It is within us to project ourselves, our values, and what we are hoping to achieve out into the world. That can be a muddy experience. So too, however, can a business find itself lost in a murky haze of branding itself to its customers and the uninitiated. There are some beacons to guide us through this path of discovery though. As we here at Eagle Eye Marketing begin gearing up for 2025, let’s look at a few ways we plan to broadcast and clarify your business needs.

  1. Clarify and Codify Your Values and Beliefs

A small business can earn long-term customers by identifying shared principles and morals. This will need to be platform and company wide so that consumers believe and trust you stand by these policies. Create content, in store and in public, that reaffirms these missions. Videos, blogs, and testimonials are all great ways to show your fans you are in this together and that you practice what you preach.

  1. Embrace Short-Form Video Content

Short video content is king when it comes to current online trends. Produce clips on all of your socials and channels that highlight your message while tying them into the latest craze. Referring back to the previous message, make sure that these clips are consistent though, that needs to be top of mind at every point. Also do not be afraid to inject a little humor and personality into these. Customers hate being advertised to, especially when its pandering, so levity and charm go a long way.

  1. Partner With Local Influencers

To that end, use popular local influencers to propel your business to new and nearby consumers. If a customer can link their favorite influencer to your brand, even unconsciously, all the better for you. You’ve gained a trusted ally in selling your business solely by letting them spread the messaging to their followers. Make sure however that these influencers fit your niche. It does you no good to have a high end cuisine influencer extolling the virtues of your beauty spa or window cleaning service. Do not forget to work with the influencer to come up with measurable metrics so that you are able to track which campaigns are attracting the most attention with their followers.

  1. Use AI to Your Advantage

You’ve got the personal touch down, now it’s time for the machines to lend a hand. In a short time AI has become affordable and accessible for even the smallest business. Chatbots, automated answering services, blog writing (hey wait a minute!), and a host of others are all tools available to businesses everywhere. Combining these tools with website SEO and optimization can propel your company ahead of any competitor in the digital landscape.

The Path Forward

By knowing what you and your business strive to achieve and focusing on these strategies, small business owners can harness their unique strengths to thrive in 2025. Whether it’s embracing new tech or doubling down on brand values, these approaches will help you connect with your audience and achieve your goals. Eagle Eye Marketing is here to help!
